Your "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini" is beautiful! I love hearing the audio recordings. The virtuosic passage are stunning.

Hi Joseph, this is Megan Postoll, I am not sure if you remember me but I used to play flute in RPYO with John. We ran into each other at Eastman when I was auditioning for the Master's program and I don't know if you remember helping me get a practice room. Which was really awesome! Thanks! I am actually preparing this next year for auditions for Doctorate Programs. I was wondering if we would be able to get together and maybe play sometime. Also, if you might be interested in accompanying me for some of my audition demos. I am living in Batavia right now, so I am around. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you. Best, Megan

Hey Mr.Irrera! You would have your own website. I was talking with someone else from BlueLake and they brought you up so i figured id Google you and see what i could find. Well i found you so i figured id say hi and tell you how much of an impact you have had on me as a musician and composer and as a person. Iv had two teachers that have had the biggest impact on me(both pianists) but you were the best. I found Pachebel's Canon, a few days ago so ill begin working on that. Im to be open a performance for the Jackson Symphony orchestra, playing wouldn't you know it 'Bach's prelude no. 1', and the second movement of the fantasy i wrote at BlueLake. Hope you have a great life, God will be with you. Gabe

Congratulations on your success! I've been reading your reviews. I've included my middle name to distinguish between all the Joseph Irreraâ??s out in the world. I see another Joseph Irrera has contacted you; Iâ??ve actually spoken to his father Leo; a very nice man and very talented artist. Iâ??m not sure if I ever told you that I wrote a Requiem Mass using the traditional Latin text. I used the Faure Requiem as my model, using the same text Faure used because I like that at the end you go to paradise instead of a scary judgment. Iâ??m having a pianist friend help me write out a piano score. Itâ??s scored (mostly in my head) for orchestra, chorus and soloists. But I can play itâ??and sing itâ??fairly well on the piano. Iâ??m very happy with it. Keep up the good work. Iâ??d love to hear some of your recordings.

The girls Eme and Oten think highly of you as a performer and believe that you, in additiond to other great piano instructors at Blue Lake, made it more fun. Your web site sure reflects your ongoing achievements and talents. Keep on doing what you do best - playing the Piano

Hi Joe, Congrats on your acceptance into the Eastman doctoral program! We share a somewhat unique name, and love. I too am a musician, having graduated from Berklee College of Music in the 70's and played professionally for many years. I'm curious as to what side of our family tree you branched from. My dad is Leo. My Grandpa Joe (namesake) and Grandma Rose raised him in Brooklyn. We still have cousins in Bensonhurst.
